Bringing the entire garden industry together once again!
If you have not already heard of Spoga Gafa it s an international trade fair located in Cologne. Showcasing the latest line ups and trends for the coming season and presents solutions for current and future challenges.

Around 28,000 trade visitors from 113 countries took part in the world's largest garden and BBQ trade fair from 16 to 18 June. Hence, the trade fair built seamlessly on the success of the previous year"

We thoroughly enjoyed the show. From speaking to suppliers most reported that it was a good show for them. Sunday was quiet as usual which is great for consultants like us and those buyers who were prepared to use up a Sunday (as it was Father’s Day in the UK). It was easier to get on the stands, and the suppliers were keen for visitors.
As far as trends are concerned everyone is certainly on robot mowers, we saw at least a dozen iterations of the robot mower. They now all have the "no requirement for a perimeter wire" the only new innovation was one that can now cut longer grass and collects of leaves.
We sought out some great suppliers with really interesting USP's but we had to seek these out and get on the stand to ask questions to find them. From up cycled pots from scrap cars to sheds that only take 3 hours to assemble, outdoor Christmas tree lights assembled quicker than you can switch them on to a BBQ supplier that doesn't just sell BBQ's, they sell all year round outdoor cooking.
Spoga Gafa is definitely a fixture in the Daley Hub calendar.
The show is really easy to get to as the Messe is right in the centre of the town and is right next to the main train station. We chose to stay at a hotel by the airport this time. It was a seamless journey taking only 12 mins door to door. The train is actually free during the show but after the show it was 3.50 euros.
Will Spoga Gafa be returning in 2025 ? Spoga say….
"Yes it will.....with a theme of "Design Gardens" placing the focus on aesthetic and innovative design solutions for private green spaces as well as a review of the past design concepts"
